This double feature of Canadian director Atom Egoyan's first two films offers a chance not only to see two stunning early efforts from one of the 1990s best filmmakers, but also to see how he dealt with his main obsessions, sex, dysfunctional families, and video, as a young director. NEXT OF KIN follows Peter, a 23 year old man still living with his parents with whom he attends video therapy. However, when he sees the tape of an Armenian family who gave up their son for adoption years earlier, he decides to try and pass himself off as their long lost son. In FAMILY VIEWING, a young man named Van leaves home after he finds that his father has taped homemade pornography, featuring he and Van's stepmother, with whom Van is also sleeping with, over their old home videos.

Ararat

ARARAT, Atom Egoyan's mysterious drama about the horrors of the largely unknown Armenian genocide in Turkey, unrolls through a film within the film (also titled ARARAT). Jumping back and forth in time, Egoyan weaves together the lives of several people. Ari (Arsinee Khanjian), an art historian, is an advisor on the film. Her son Raffi (David Alplay) is part of the film crew. When Raffi travels to Armenia to gather some additional footage, he is detained by a customs agent (Christopher Plummer) and remains in custody for most of the film. Felicia's Journey
